About the Mural

This mural portrays a sense of joy and happiness. The richness of spring in northwest Oregon is depicted with ferns, bleeding hearts, trilliums and violets, plants native to the area. It had originally been painted with latex house paint and was extremely faded after 23 years. The cheerful content and message of peace and harmony is even more relevant today.
